can you frickin believe it....

Today my dog went back to the groomers for a groom. Guess what, he is itching like craaaazy (again)...sure enough. Checked him...picked out 2 live lice...I am SO SO SO pissed off. So I had to bath him, FIGHT to bath him as he spent 1/2 the day at the groomers today...and try to leave on the shampoo for 10 mins while he is acting like an idiot...omg, I am SOO pissed off.

Thankfully I treated it very fast, but still...its the fact. We pay 60.00 for him to be groomed....then have to buy lice shampoo and spray and vacuum everything and do bedding and etc....its the point of it. So I just bathed him. I will try to see if its all okay. Good thing his fur is super short or else it will be a pain..you know...we won't be going back there ever ever agian.

Thankfully dog lice isn't the same as human lice...thank GOD!!!!!

Anyhow, I'm pissed off....

Oh yeah, this is the same place that he got lice from in Dec...obvioulsy they aren't clean there!!!

Monday...

Today was a great day at work!

Actually I did grant stuff that was due today.

And then, we had 1000.00 leftover to spend...so I went to Scholars Choice and Education Station then finally Indigo and spent 1000.00 on books....phew...

Picked up the kids from daycamp.

The kids played out for a very, short while.

Fabe is grabbing food for supper.

Kids are playing video games and hanging out.

I'm going to run to the Dollarama and grab refill for soaps and check the other stuff out.

Today Fabe checked out trailers at another dealership...still trying to decide what we should do.

Hopefully when I am back from Dollarama supper will be ready.

Kids to bed at 9pm tonight...

relax...sleep and do it all over again tomorrow...

Tara

4 kids.

4 kids again.

Maybe I am destined to have 4 kids....

nooooo way!

500.00 richer!

So today I got my pay check and it was more money. So anyhow, I was like "why...why is it so much more?" anyhow after staring at it, I seen that my mid-month advance didn't come off. I did payroll and processed it so it looks like I did this on purpose. Anyhow, the owner came and I told her "you need to write me another check....this one doesn't have my advance off it" and she said "no I can't do that, the money is already gone"...and she left it at that....so I said "well I will bring you in 500.00 then" and she bascially told me to keep it and that she wouldn't have even noticed anyhow and left it there. I hate this. So I thought, its not 'my' 500.00. And I really, really don't like the idea of keeping it. I mean, 500.00. Its not like 20.00. Its a lot of money...to me, maybe *obviously* not to her. But she assured me "just keep it"...but it just isn't right...

The weekend...

Well the weekend has been crazy busy!

My sister came home Saturday morning. It was soooo nice, they left in the afternoon...even nicer. My was there and we went to Winners and then trailer (travel) shopping/window shopping. We are considering buying a new trailer, just not 100% certain at this point tho. Our trailer is old but we fixed it up and its pretty modern now...but it only sleeps either 2 adults 1 small child and 1 adult/older child. And the small child is a bed that we made....that is easy to set up but its just not totally fitting our family anymore...thats all. I do love our trailer tho. I totally shopped for it last year and fixed it up. We ripped up the horrible pink carpet and put down lino. Its pretty nice now. Plus, its a light weight trailer meaning a minivan can even pull it...but anyhow...we'll see (anyone trailer shopping?) So, we will see. We did find an amazing one that would be perfect for us...so we'll see....in a way I hope so, in another way I don't care. I am looking forward to Fabe pulling it out to Miquelon for me for a week with the kids while he is working...plus we have a few camping trips book. So we'll see...

Saturday night we went to our neighbors sisters house. Our neighbors we are really close with and Fabe did his sisters cable as she just moved...and they all hit it off. She invited us to come to her house with the kids for a hockey party. So we decided to go. And I was really glad that I did. Usually I would have told him to go ahead but I went. We got home late with the kids 1:30am! Fabe extended him night of having a few too many beers and stayed in the garage with our neighbor James and the his BIL. It was a pretty good night.

Sunday we slept in until close to 11am!!!!! Then we got up, cleaned...Fabe was out in the garage most of the day and the kids drove their quads around for a while.

Sunday, Rikki came over and she will be staying with us for the week as she is in the same daycamp as the kids. Sunday night we relaxed for a while.

Monday, I took the kids to the daycamp. They are missing Friday as my mom is taking them to Fort Mac for Braeden's 5th birthday. They will go to her house Thursday night...

My friends son, Darius is staying with us as of today...she dropped him off at daycamp this morning and today I will be picking him up after camp.

This week is spring break at daycare...so it should be good.

Well until later.

Thursday...

Well the week is drawing to a end...yeah!

Today was a busy day at work...2 staff gone. So I didn't get much of the admin stuff that I needed to get done. But I left at 2:30pm (I love Thursdays!) grabbed the kids from the bus stop and we went straight to the school for the parent teacher interviews. I hate these. I really hate them. However, I was asked to come (in Macks agenda) to meet his teachers. That was annoying especially the student teacher who kept agreeing with the 'real' teachers "yeah, ummm hmmm" "totally!" "I have to agree" okaaaaay you have seen my son for 1 whole month...thanks for your input...put me in touch with HIS teacher...thank you! Anyhow, they said that he is very distracted in class and doesn't use him time effectively and blah blah blah...same old. Its like they want me to put him on meds or what? My son isn't hyper....but maybe he is distracted but I certainly wouldn't be sticking him on meds (they didn't mention it) but it felt like that is what they were trying to say to me...anyhow...went and did Kennedy's which was the same kinda story (lol) but it was very very positively said "Kennedy requires some reminders to remain on task, but its not just her as its pretty common with their young age!" I told her (well actually she taught Mack too) about Mack and she said that they don't 'get it' until around junior high...that made me feel better. Still, I worry. But his report card was improved from the first term...all A's and mainly B's but C in math..which is what we are working on...(tutor here at the moment, actually!) and its been working. Anyhow...thats all over with. He just need to work on staying on task...thats it. He gets lots of sleep, eats good food and so I know that all of the resources are there for him...they said in junior high he could possible struggle...but I mean...he IS a B student so I don't get it...

Anyhow, this is now hours later....the kids are in bed..I just helped put my nephews down...1 more sleep after tonight until their parents come back...its been alot of fun having them...but man, alot of work too....but its okay.

Next week is spring break. A break from homework, packing lunches and running to get the school bus..yah!

Well anyhow...better go.

Oh yeah, I don't know if I said or not but I relaxed Kennedys hair and omg..its sooooo straight now...look great! She LOVES LOVES LOVES it like this...she loves flicking her hair to and fro..she's so funny. She has ALWAYS wanted straight hair (you know how it goes, you have straight..you want curly..you have curly..you want straight) but this is great! I'm going to keep up with keeping it straight.

Anyhow...night all..

Wednesday...

Wow what a busy day again!

Today I worked. Then picked up Rikki from school, Brenda called (nanny) and said that I needed eggs and bread. So I went to Sobeys and got that. Came home, the kids wanted to play outside (nephews) so I offered to watch them while Brenda had a 'break'. Did that until 6:00pm then came in, I had supper in the slowcooker so we had beef stew and buns. Then the boys wanted to jump on the trampoline so I thought that I should take the opportunity to pick up doggie crap in the backyard (LOVE this time of the year!) so they jumped...then I came in and left them out....swept and mopped the floors, packed the kids lunches, made a bedtime snack for the kids (straberries, cantelope and giant goldfish crackers) then they came in...they ate. Cleaned the kitchen (again) then came up here to finally relax...

The kids are going to bed soon. They are tired. And I am looking forward to relaxing in bed. I am so sad that it is suppose to snow again...man oh man. But if you look at the 2 week forcast then at least there IS hope in sight!

Well anyhow...later!

Tara

Wednesday already!

This is great...I can't believe that its ALREADY Wednesday! Yeah!

I'm at work, its going pretty good. Getting lots done since LP is down...hahaha!

Anyhow...check back with you later!

Walking for Kennedy and Connor.

Connor, Tinas little boy who is 1 year old was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis last year. Total shock for their family as well.

On May 25th, there will be the Great Strides walk going on in the River Valley. I would LOVE some team members to come out too :o)

As well donations can be made on my page...which you can email me for the link!

This is a family fun-filled event and there are activities for the children...and lunch after the walk. The kids LOVE going to his event!

Tuesday.

I am enjoying sitting here at work. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow, today its already so nice and sunny out! My children have been spending lots of time outside! Its been great! Today Fabe is taking the nanny, Brenda and the boys to the rec centre for a day out. They will go to the indoor playground and enjoy the time there. Fabe will pick them up after that. Tonight I am not sure what we will do. We will just relax at home. Maybe the kids will hang out with their new scooters. The boys are obsessed with the neighbors kids, Austin and Trevor. They are playing "I am Trev" and then the little one, Matthew says "No, I am Trev" then Braeden says "Okay, I will be Austin". Its soooo funny!

They are so funny having around tho! Too funny!

My sister said that she was asked to go for a principal job. She has only been a Vice Principal for 2 years now but they are dying to hold onto them up there. My sisters BIL said it wasn't worth him being a principal when he can work at the plants up there and make double the money...teachers even get paid so much more up there! Its crazy up there, but still I woudn't ever live up there. I am use to the 'old' McMurray which was once a nice little city. The stores were normal to go to and people were friendly. The only issue with it back then was the flooding of downtown. But it was nothing like it is today. I find it to be a very dirty city and just too busy. My dad just bought a house in Sask as the real estate is so low there. He is going to keep his place up in Fort Mac and rent it out...so thats good...he will make a pretty penny renting it out. He is excited to leave up there. Which is funny, because thats where ALL of his family is from and he always wanted us to move up there...too funny. Now he just wants to leave.

I wish that my sister and her dh would move down here. Their house up there is worth soooo much money (its not even funny!) but they would both take a HUGE pay cut. But to me its worth it. I mean, "Edmonton" isn't great either. But its better then raising your children up there. My sister might have to return to full time teaching tho thats the only thing...does she want too? I don't know.

I'm sitting here listening to Cisn on the radio at my desk. The rooms are getting ready for lunch...they were all outside this morning...so it was nice and quiet. I have a HUGE portfolio due on Friday to be sent over...and I am almost all done it.

Did anyone see the 2 week forcast? I'm super excited the weekend of the 5 and 6th of April is going to be close to 12 outside! Of course that is the weekend that the kids are up to Fort Mac for my nephews 5th birthday party. I'm not going as I am hoping Fabe and I can go out for supper for our anniversary...

Anyhow I better go!

have a great day!

Where to start?

So this weekend has been a bur or trying to keep 5 children happy...ALL weekend. Yuck!

So the nephews are still here. They are great to have around and soooooo cute but man oh man....from having my 'easy' life where my children are busy keeping themselves occupied..to 'this'...omg. Brutal. (lol)

So, today is what day again? Monday.

Saturday-sick. Still am sick. But sick on Saturday but went and did shopping and cleaned the house while mom had them at Chuckie Cheeses. I met her there. We came home. Got the boys ready for bed...did that...slept finally.

Sunday- We woke up and to our surprise the bunny stopped here! We enjoyed looking through the stuff. Everyone was happy with what they got. We got the bird in the oven. Fabes family came over, we all ate and visisted. Thankfully, mom took them to her house for the night.

Monday- Slept in...woke up. Cleaned the house (washed the floors again...done everyday since Friday now!) Did some laundry. Went to Winners...shopped for groceries. Met mom at McDonalds with the kids. Came home, took the dogs to the dog park. Cleaned the kitchend and bathed the kids and got them to bed.

Thankfully the nanny is home from her weekend with her friends so the children seem more settled. We put them to bed by 8:30pm and its not 8am the next day and they are still asleep.

Tag! Your it!!!!

I tag all of the readers of my blog to do this:

Here's how you play. Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog of ten weird, random things, facts or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose five people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them to be tagged. Don't forget to leave them a comment saying "you're it" and to read your blog. You cannot tag the person who tagged you. Since you cannot tag them back, let him/her know when you've posted your blog so she/he can read your answers

1. While driving I look for animals in case they are lost...and I reassure myself when I don't see one, that the stray population must be going down..only to make myself feel better.

2. I can't read the journal if the sections aren't in the proper order and neatly placed. I hate when Fabe or anyone else grabs it before me because it gets messed up.

3. I hate reading a magazine after someone read it before me...especially if I bought it. But I can buy second hand ones.

4. I always have suffered with cracked and yucky heels...ewww!

5. I wear my hair in ponytails waaaay to often that now my hair is breaking....yikes!

6. I put way to much effort in to keeping my house so clean...but I do looove cleaning it...

7. I know that I should totally LOOSE weight but I just am fine with myself...which makes it worse and then I don't wanna do anything about it, even tho my mom is diabetic...

8. I check almost every night for lumps in my breasts as I fear of finding one...too late.

9. I love the texture of rice pudding...and textures of hard things and soft things.

10. I dont like to wear nailpolish because taking it off grosses me out! Thats rubbing and screaching sound...ugh!!!!

Okay....I'm checking to see who does it....

Saturday.

Oh my..what a long day...

I'm tired and I just wanna go to bed...

Today I finished my shopping and did some shopping for Mack (2 new jeans and some shirts!) from Winners..got that all done then I met mom at Chuckie Cheese's. Did that. Came home. The kids did Easter cards for my dad/grandpa Billy. We will mail them tomorrow for him. Then we did eggs.

I'm completely stuffed up and have a horrible cough. When I am sick, I just can't seem to sleep. Brutal.

So I was up off and on since 4am. Yuck! Then I got up up, at 8:30am. Cleaned the house, it gets soooo messy with everyone and the BIG dog in here...moped the floors and everything. Did some laundry.

Tomorrow, Fabe's parents and brother are coming over for Easter dinner that my mommy is cooking.

I just feel crappy. Fabe ran out to get me some Tylenol cold as I only have daytime ones left and I will be damned if I am going to take them...I need to SLEEP!!!!! Easter bunny will be here in the morning so I am sure we will be up EARLY....yuck!

Happy Easter Everyone!

stuff

I am reading this great book that I got from Bookcloseouts.com (VERY cheap books!) and this books has tons and tons of great ideas to 'rescue' your famiy from everyday stress. Its a great book! Anyhow, I have been glued to it. I love books like this. Self help books that allow me to really think about ways that I can be more effective with my home life. Anyhow, there are WONDERFUL quotes in there...so I will leave you with some. Keep in mind that they have to do with family/children and home life."Nothing is so fatiguing as the hanging on of an uncompleted task" ~William James~*sooooooo true to me. I find it so tiring always thinking about what has to be done (as you see in my blogs)"Every minute is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such" ~Henry Miller~*soooooo true again. I always think that right here, right now...will never happen again in my childrens lives. Every chance that you take to make it the most with them is soo wonderful and important"This one is my faaaaaavorite thus far:"The best things in life aren't things" ~Art Buchwald"*isn't that true???? Our children aren't 'things' and neither are our life time loves...*"Tell me to what you pay attention, and I will tell you who you are" ~Jose Ortega Y Gasset*do you pay attention to your children=you are a mother. So you pay attention to God=you are a believer...its all about priorities!*"Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it" ~Harold S. Hulbert*so true...its when you least can be bothered to show them love...but thats when they need it the most. I find this so true at my daycare....*And a funny one:"I always wondered about where 'Kingdom Come" might be, since my mother threatened so many times to knock me there" ~Bill Cosby~

Opps- sorry for the double post..

Well what a loooooooong day today...

Its only 10pm and seriously feels like its 1am!

Today I woke up at 9am. I wasn't ready to wake up, as I was up coughing lots and stuffed nose. Yes, I am sick again...I can't believe it. Anyhow, woke up. My BIL was up with the boys, my sis at a Pedicure at West Ed. He stayed up for a while, then took off downstairs so I watched them for a few hours...my sister got home. Then my mom, Amanda and Rikki all came over. House got crazy...as the day went on I felt more like crap..ugh. Pretty much stayed on the couch. My mom took both boys to her house...thankfully. Rikki and Kennedy are here, Mack staying at his friends house again tonight. Rikki and Kennedy have popcorn, juice boxes and movies and they are down in the basement. Fabe just feel asleep on the couch. We took the dogs twice around the block...so they are tired out now. So thats good. I'm looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow. We're taking them to Chuckie Cheese and we are going to decorate eggs and do some Easter crafts with the boys...mom is staying at my house tomorrow night.

The dogs are crashed on the floors now...they are so happy to be around each other....so cute.

Well, I am going to bed. Its 10pm and I just can't stay up anymore...
night!

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!
First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.
Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.
As infants &children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because,
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day.And we were OK.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computer! s, no Internet or chat rooms.......
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!
If YOU are one of them CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good .
While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.
Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!
The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'
For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us...go ahead and delete this.
For the rest of us..pass this ON!

For the rest of us..pass this ON!

Thursday!

At lasssssst....I'm off for 4 days straight! Howeer, I will be super busy as our nephews are here for 1 week and my sisters nanny, Brenda as my sister is heading to Mexico tomorrow...lucky her!

Today was a good day at work. We did the Easter thing, then I bought the staff pizza and pop. They were pretty happy! I left at 2:30pm dropped off some library stuff and headed home. Tidied up the house, and waited for the big arrival. They all arrived about 6pm. Everyone was so excited, the dogs, kids and my mom! Crazy times!

Today I got the kids their main Easter gift. I'm telling myself "its not Christmas, we don't need to spend alot" but I try to cram in the stuff that I have to buy anyhow in the summer. But actually I am very proud and didn't spend too much :o)

Report Cards today. I can't believe that Mack was so stressed about it :o( I don't ever want to think that he thinks that he will disappoint me. As long as he TRIES...anyhow his marks went up!!!!!!! Some stayed the same...but things were up in like 3-4 subjects! Silly boy. I gave him a big hug and he was just happy it was over with. Damn report cards...ugh.

My sis leaves tomorrow at 3pm for the airport...then mom and I are on our own for the boys. No biggie though. I love to spend time with them....I really do. They are SO much better behaved when my sister isn't around though ;~)

Not too sure what we will do this weekend. Fabe is working..so tomorrow we will take is easy around home. Maybe go explore the dog park with the dogs...with the kids.

Saturday-my mom wants to be crazy and take them to Chuckie Cheese...craazzzy! A Saturday I would usually try to avoid that place! Saturday night mom is sleeping over here to wake up Easter morning with the kids....then Sunday she is making us Easter dinner...Monday will be spent doing nothing much....Then the nanny comes back from her friends house on Monday night...then off to work again Tuesday...the week will fly by. Then again, the next week will be busy with kids (my friends son, Rikki and my 2)...4 kids for a week...we'll see how I handle it ?!?!

Well anyhow, I should go...I'm very tired and since I won't be sleeping in this weekend I should at least go to bed at a decent time at night...

Have a good Night!

Wednesday

I am at work.

I will be leaving about 3:30 to see the kids for a while...then I will head to moms house to drive with her to Rexall...I can't wait to see Martina McBride. Last night I had a break down. Not usually do the kids 'drive' me...but last night I was sooo upset with Mack. He had a math assignment due and he has been working on it, for a few hours here and there. I asked him the night before 'what do you have left to do?" he said 'just glue the pics on' so I let him have 1/2 hour on the computer. Then, last night he sat at the table for ever and then I asked him what he is doing. He is drawing more pics...I thought he only had to glue them on???? No he still had more to do..then I asked for the assignement sheet he doesn't have it...at school. Then I went to write a note to the teacher in the agenda and saw that he has a past due on getting his science test signed, which is 60%...finally I got annoyed...then saw that he had a story that still needed to be recopied into a good draft...I was stressing!

So I took the damn keyboard out of him room until he gets back on track..no computer. Plus, I told him if he has anymore past dues or 'forgets' anything he will go to bed 1 hour early..I was soooo annoyed. He showered and I sent him to bed. Woke him up at 6am to do his good copy for LA and so we'll see how it goes handing in his math...he still obvioulsy needs lots of reminding from me..he's not there yet.

Anyhow, I watched American Idol...went to bed. Woke up showered and got refreshed and started the new day :o) Told him I only want him to try his best..I don't care about A's but at least put the effort in..he 'got' me. They walked to the bus.

Fabe called, told me about a quad he sees for Mack...did he not learn anything about saving money yesturday????????

I'm getting a sort throat and feel like I am going to be having a nasty cough. My chest feels kinda 'burning' and my throat...how can I possibly even think about being sick again??? My God!

My sister called this morning on her way to work...she said "are you excited for your house to get trashed?" greeeeeeat! So yeah....she will be down tomorrow.

And, thats about it...

Tuesday...

Today we had an appt at the bank to renew the mortgage. Anyhow, I always walk away feeling like 'we aren't doing enough with our money!'...every few years I stress out about it...so we will be investing more, saving more and blah blah blah. The guy was telling us about credit cards. Ok, I have to admit that I do have 6 of them...HOWEVER I am very good with control of having them. I have a Children's place one...but with no balance. Same with Zellers, Sears, American Express, 2 Visa's and I just cacelled a master card...but I have low low low debt on them (my Visa I do use pretty often, and some months I do carry a balance on it) but he told me to close them all down..he said since you don't use them...then why have them? But I think that they all serve a purpose. I am good with buying something on it to save 10% then I ask her to make a payment right after...but still he said get rid of them...so we'll see ;o)

I got outta there and to work at 12:30pm, and worked only until 4:30pm. Came home, Fabe was out with the neighbors talking so I joined them...Fabe just made us supper so we're gonna eat then....I will slip into something more comfy (lol, pj pants and a tshirt of Fabes)...American Idol is on tonight...yeah!

Tomorrow, I have a concert. Martine McBride...I LOVE her. My mom and I are going. So Fabe will be able to do the last gymnastics class....then Thursday is when my sister comes down. Thursday I will be leaving work early...yeah.

We still have the taxes to get done and our crimial record checks...to do respite on a weekend a month...

so much

Wow, look at this video!

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/23556514

A 17 month old who can READ!

Favorite things around home...

Fabians jerk-chicken....hot-spicy but soooooo yummmmy :o()
Okay, I stole the idea from the link that Susan posted but I stole the idea of the little paper trims for lunches. But I love making healthy lunches for the kids. I don't like the labor of packing lunches or being rushed but I do love when I get time to prepare a totally healthy lunch...I'm totally hooked on the link that Susan posted on her blog...I use tons of containers but I didn't use the muffin liners...they just add to the lunches...
Kitchen Aid!!!! LOOOOVE it and use it every week forsure!!! yesturday I made muffins....so thats why its 'yucky' I didn't just not wash it ;o)

This I bought at a silent fundraiser. Icecheeks made them, they are ceramic and the set is just beautiful!!!!!!

This set (man and lady) we bought in Cuba...I just love knowing that it was handmade and its so different!

I have a couple of these fake trees with a pack (or 2!) of twinkly clear lights...I love plugging them in...it feels instantly so soothing in here.

Just some things around the house that I love...

Front of fridge

Some people hate cluttering up the front of the fridges...but I admit that I don't mind it. I like sharing pictures of my friends and families...but I don't see a big deal...

I'm a front of the fridge clutter-er

Flowers!

My newest bunch of flowers from Fabe...kinda dying now.

Grass!

I saw these at Superstore and needed them...best of all they are FAKE :o)

I bought some for work and some for my house!

Backyard...

My teeny tiny backyard....there was some peeks of grass but now its gone :o(

Butterfly, butterfly..where are you?

Okay, this will have to do for now...I stuck up some fake butterlies on the patio door because I needed a touch of spring! This is the last little while where I just want winter to be done with and spring to come!!!!

Kennedy's clean room!

My cherished Teddies set...I started saving them before Mack was born then turned it into his collection and then after Kennedy was born it became her collection...its still 'mine' but I can share :o)

Her window seat, that she use to use as a desk area...I put a stop to that and turned it into a little nook for storing her teddy bears...it turned out looking cute!

I bought these baskets at Dollarama thinking that they would be perfect to hang on her walls to display some stuff..they turned out looking really good!

I love the look of them...they are perfect for storing nail polish, make up and hair stuff...they look pretty enough too

Her little memory area...some really special stuff that needs to be kept outta reach from her and her friends...

Hannah Montana fan...can you tell???????Her tv/karokee area...

Her room...I just love it when it is clean...

Yup, a whole-lotta-stuff in the room

Finally its clean!!!!!!

Only 1 large garbage bag full, actually thats not too bad. But she had JUNK everywhere!!!

So now its clean.

This is why Mack doesn't have so much stuff as her. He was smart and packed all him memory stuff into bins and they are being stored in the basement. Her room has easel, couch set, crap, crap and more crap. He keeps his room simple and clean. He also doesn't play with stuff, where she does. Plus, she is very much so into crafts...so yeah its just bound to be a mess!

Macks room...

I am about to post pics of Kennedy's clean room but I thought that I better post some of Mack's new room too. His room isn't nearly 'as fun' as Kennedy's...I use to have his all decked out but now that he actually has friends over and stuff he doesn't like trinkets and stuff like that...but now he has a 'cool' kid room...

Bandit

Bandit on 'gaurd' at the front door...
On gaurd in the bonus room window...
Taking a break, and watching us...

Okay I had a huge thing typed up about my dog and now its gone...I tried to upload it...

Anyhow, all I was trying to say is how much joy Bandit brings to our house and family. Without him, our house would feel so empty! To think about how much I struggled with him when he was just a little puppy. Thankfully we did stick it out and kept him because all of that was hard and difficult but we are really, really enjoying him now. I can go out to my car to get my purse and he still goes crazy when I walk back in...like he hasn't seen me in hours. Anyhow he's a great little dog. He's so loyal. He knows our family routine now and he is so funny when he is tired. I love laying in bed with him at night at first he is snuggly then he gets hot and jumps off the bed...
Anyhow, he still drives me crazy once in a while but overall he is just such a good little boy :o)

testing...

Grrr..just uploaded pics and typed and it didn't go... testing'

Monday!

Last night I was on the phone for soooo long with a friend. We basically talk every night after the kids are in bed, then again I call her on the way to work while she is driving too. But we got off the phone at midnight and I was WIDE awake. It doesn't help that Fabian was totally snoring right next to me. I finally got to sleep at close to 2am and my alarm sounded off at 6:30 am! Ugh.

But I actually feeel good, and not too tired.

Work is good. We have hired a new staff. She is seeming really good. She is a ratio enhacement staff who will be working with a 3 year old who has speech delay.

I organzied the piles on my desk. I can't imagine in the summer coming in once a week for only 3 hours and having to deal with all of the piles...yuck! I hate hate hate filing and thats what it is mostly. Since we have had an extra staff in the mornings for the past month I have been pulling out another staff and using her to help me get stuff done. Thats been workin out pretty good. Getting the extra help, is great.

Let's see. What else...

Oh, I guess that some people in the world think that they can control everyone...just because they have 'some' power they feel that they are able to hold that over them. I don't like to become involved in 'drama' but my goodness, its amazing how FAR people will go to try to control others...pretty sad.

Anyhow, rant over.

DONE!

I will have to take a pic of Kennedys CLEAN room...I love it clean. But man oh man, since we have been so busy the last while I have not had the time to clean clean it...she will 'surface clean' it but not spotless clean. I made her a tub of craft stuff...so thats gonna help. She uses her room for lots of crafts...which is good but VERY messy! moon sand...ugh...Anyhow, its super clean...smells clean. Its just so pretty in there...

Now I have TONS of laundry to put away...something that I won't do in a messy room!

To Do list for Summer:

Remind me come summer that its not all play...

This summer I have so much to do:

*Paint the house. The house is DYING to be painted. The walls are dinged and marked. It just needs to be painted. Its screaming to be painted. So I plan to paint it the same base coat color and add some feature walls. I will mud then prepare for painting and paint one room at a time.

*Steam clean Kennedys couch and chair set. I bought this set when she was 2 years old. It was not cheap, and she sits on it daily in her room to watch tv and do crafts (which results in markers!) so I want to use the steam cleaner and totally clean it up. I plan to save this set for a long, long time. Since Amanda is having a girl, she can use it when the baby is older...but I do want it back...I want to save it for Kennedy...

*Sand and re-surface Kennedy's dresser. THIS is why she is NOT ready for a nice new bedroom suite. I mean, her suite it nice but its old. I bought her set when she was 2 year old and switched from crib to bed. Its a canopy bed, with a long white dresser and a night stand. I mean, I paid like 300.00 for the whole set almost 6 years ago...but its finally dying to be painted. I have kept up with it with magic erasers and nail polish remover to keep it decent but now its finally needing to be painted. So I will have to research how to do it. One day I will get Fabian to help me put it in the garage and I will sand it and paint it...any tips???? Its a sturdy set so I hate to replace it with a Ikea type dresser...but she isn't ready for a new bedroom suite yet. Although she does need new bedding and paint (maybe this summer too???) when her room is clean it still looks very pretty!

*Paint a feature wall in Macks room. Since he isn't moving down to the room that I painted in the basement for him, I need to paint a dark grey feature wall for him in his room. His room looks really nice now with the deep grey bedding, the new bed and computer desk and the bright red chair...its looks really good...but it needs a deep grey feature wall to pull it all together. I love looking at his room clean...his room is south facing so the sun beams in all day in there...I love it.

*We did the porch last year, but this year we need to do the fence and the deck. Since I will be home the kids and I can dedicate a day or two to strictly painting of the fence...easy enough! With the kids help, we will get it done fast! The deck, I think we will just stain it. So I will have to ask Fabe but I'm pretty sure we will be just staining it!

*garden, garden...every year I seem to enjoy gardening more and more. Costco had a 6 pack of really nice gardening gloves for 10.00 so I bought those. As well, at GoodWill on gymnastics days I have been buying some different containters and such to set up for gardening...just knowing that I will be able to water at night and not have to worry about the time (for waking up the next morning) feels sooooo good. I plan to have tons and tons of flowers. Due to no paychecks in the summer (lol) I want to buy as much as I can now...I can't wait!

*with the help of my label maker I plan to totally organize stuff. On rainy days (of course!) I plan to go through basement stuff and ensure that everything is very tidy! Life is just so much easier when the house is clean and tidy!

Thats all that I can think of so far...basically I plan to keep the house very clean...and so I don't need to spend the whole summer cleaning it ;o) and get done those pesky projects that I have been wishing for the time to do...

Whats on you 'to do' list for the summer??

Sunday!

Happy Sunday :o)

Last night I went with some ladies from the clothing club we saw "Be Kind Rewind" it was okay. Actually it was a 'stupid-funny' movie but it was okay. At the end, I was like 'oh my God, did I just watch this for 2 hours?' kinda funny.

Then we went to OPM for drinks. I ordered a slushie drink and it was like a snow cone, once you drink the juice the good taste of it is gone...so basically we paid for the big cup of ice....

I slept in today until 10:30am! Thankfully! The house is nice and quiet...the kids are at my moms house. Kennedy's room is a total disaster so I will like to clean it up and get rid of junk...

My sister is coming down on Thursday...then leaving Friday. The weekend my mom and I have the kids on the weekend to watch as the nanny is going to her firends house. So I might keep one and my mom will keep the other one...I would prefer her to keep Matty as he is younger and more needier and at least if I have Braeden then I will be able to do things without worrying about a naptime and stuff....then Monday I work. I was going to have a day off while they were down but then I am not sure if I will now...My sister comes back from Mexico on Saturday and then they will head home for the Sunday. Then spring break! My mom is taking the kids to Fort Mac the first weekend of April...being that its our anniversary I'm not going to go.

Well I'm gonnna eat breakfast.

Hannah Montana Movie!

OMG, it was sooooooo cute!!!!

I can totally see why little girls are LOVIN her...she is super cute and 'fun'...

It was so cute, the kids were clapping along and clapped at the end of songs...soooo cute!

Anyhow, I am SO happy that we went...

Kennedy can NOT wait until it comes out on DVD...

Its a girl!

Amanda is having a baby girl.

I'm very happy because I LOVE to shop for a baby girl!

Anyhow, this is good news!

Baby was 3 pounds 5 ounces...pretty good I think for 32 weeks!

Anyhow, just wanted to share!

Tara

Friday!

This feels like a horrible long week. But today its Friday and its almost over!!! yeah!!!!

Anyhow, last night we did MillWoods Christian School. I love love love that school BUT they don't bus and we live quite the distance from it. Sure, its great for us for now with my hours. But what about in 2-4 more years?? Who will pick her up and take her home????

The other option is the Catholic school which is right near our house. Alot of the neighbors children go there and it would be much easier to get her there and home as they bus. The school day is shorter...which might mean taking Thursdays off as they are off at noon..(but thats okay!). The brand new junior high is really close to the house too. Just means that we are NOT moving from the area...because I refuse to move their schools in older grades. I feel sorry for moving Kennedy but thankfully she is only going into grade 3 and still has lots of time to meet new friends....so we'll see. We have to move here though. Did you know, grade 2 and not ONE field trip??? sad. Indoors recesses are spent walking the halls...she has to stand in line to get her enzymes at lunch time, not allowing her time to eat her lunch...unrealistic expectations for the chidlren...its just crap there. So I have to get her out of there...she will be happier. The good thing is that she has frineds there, but she doesn't go to their houses or anything like that now...so I mean she isn't close-close to them yet...

I'm leaving work a little earlier today to go to the movie theatre with Kennedy. We still aren't sure what we are going to do after the movie so we'll see...I wouldn't mind checking out Children't Place as well Mack needs some new jeans so I might hit some stores at South Common. We'll see.

My mom is taking the kids forsure tomorrow night but I think even tonight...after my hectic week this will be great for moi! I just can't wait to totally clean clean clean the house..isn't it pathetic that I LOOK forward to that???

I'm wondering if I should take off all of June now too? I will speak to the owner today...I know that I have said it 10000 times, and I will be saying it 1000000000 more times...but I am SO looking forward to spending the summer with the kids. I love my breaks (weekends) from them...but I'm not into long periods without them. So many of my friends and people I know can't wait to send them off for long periods of times but I can't. They haven't and probably won't go to summer camps...I am not against them but I don't like the idea of them going to them...I would rather use up every minute while they are young enough to spend time with them. These are the days that we will never ever get back. They are so special today and tomorrow. I love the MEMORIES with them. I cherish my memories regarding my childhood and I just want to create the best ever ones for them. I hate September when they return back to school....it almost feels like I am losing them...I'm really struggling with Mack going to junior high because it justifies that he is getting closer and closer to being a young adult...

Anyhow. One of the staff's here father in law past away yesturday. She is more shocked them anything because she wasn't expecting him to die...she is a strong lady who never ever cries or gets upset and seeing her bawling...ugh, brings tears to my eyes. I hate when others are hurting...who doesn't? I just feel so sad for her. I would like to send her flowers.

Speaking of flowers. I have decided that they are so cheap to send to someone. My friends mom has been in the hospital for a few days now. Did you know that I have NEVER send flowers to anyone??? So I decided that I will send them for any reasons now. I have GIVEN flowers...but its so nice to get them at work or home...being delivered feels so much better ;o) So I sent some to my friends mom...it was so cheap considering how much it may have made her happy. I think it was a plant actually, I told the lady just something that a senior would like. Like they say, its the thought that counts. But I have someone in mind to send them too next...I just need to get the details. She would be very happy...so I will try to do it every few months for someone..and my mom is on the list soon :o)

Anyhow, I should go..work to do.

Tara

Wow...

Sometimes I read things and think "wow"...and I actually have no thoughts after that.

Other times I read things and think "are you KIDDING me?" because its just soooo unreal.

Other times, I read things and think "how sad" because some people are just so insecure.

Anyhow...

Thursday!

Yeah, its Thursday!

Today has been really good at work. We finished the parent corner and it looks just amazing! I looove it. Today a staff and I went and bought some cushions for the bench thingy that we bought and it fits just perfect there for us! I loooove it! The area is so crisp and clean and welcoming! I will have to take a pic. Speaking of pics, I am just behind on getting them uploaded...but I have a tummy shot of Amanda to post and I will post my parent area. I am just SO mad that I didn't take a before and after shot. While shopping for it, I was in dire search of those little leather cubes, you know you can sit on them or decorate with them. Well, I only saw 1 at Winners for 70.00 which I was going to buy if there were 2 of them. But today at Superstore on 51 ave they have them on clearance for 19.97! Of course, they are fake leather but still. They look awesome under a sofa table...I saw it in a Home magazine and wanted to create that look too. But I ended up buying some circle Debbie Travis ones and I would have rathered had the square leather looking ones...so maybe I will grab 2 of them...they are SO cheap!

Anyhow, I am done work for the week...not really. But in my mind I am. I am just SO ready for the weekend. Tonight is open house for Kennedy's school. Just have to get done with this tonight...then tomorrow I will leave work early to be at the theatre early for Hannah Montanna..its at 4:50pm. So that will be good. We'll be home at a decent time at least. But I might take her out for supper or shopping...just the 2 of us.

Saturday will be totally cleaning. I have the 'itch' to totally clean...there are a few more ladies who are going to be attending the clothing club so I'm not sure if we are going out or staying at my house...we'll see. I will ask them tomorrow. But if we are going out then I will have to go buy some food...PURE junk food.

I have been dreaming of summer lately...and the time off I will have. I can't wait. I plan to use the time in the best possible way. I plan to have lazy days where we stick around the house and the kids can hang out with the neighbors all day....sprinkler days...backyard days...firepits. But also, I want days where I take them to the beach for the day, miniroad trips to Sylvan water park, take them overnight to Drumheller...and I really hope to get time in with my Godson...I haven't seen him forever and I planned to have him lots...and I haven't been...haven't had time and when I do have time I don't feel like taking a toddler.

Wednesday...

Wow, this week HAS been busy! But we are almost done it!!!!

So, last night we went to the open house of the junior high that I want to send Mack too. It was really, really good. I was really impressed by the construction shop there, they are building actual garden sheds and selling them! But also their art room, was amazing! And the fitness work out room is wicked too! The students there seemed really good. So I am 90% sure we will send him there...it seems really good. He is super excited. And they have out t-shirts so he was thrilled to get one last night and is wearing it to school today!

Kennedys school that she is switching too, has an open house tomorrow. I am going to be SOOOOO glad to be DONE with her current school. I hate that school. So thats tomorrow night...and I love it because it goes right from K-grade 12. She won't have to swtich junior highs and high schools....which will be easier for her.

So I got home LATE last night. Then rushed the kids to bed. As planned, I took 2 gravols and was asleep within 1/2 hour...I didn't even get to watch American Idol.

Amandas ultrasound didn't get done, she goes back on Friday. My mom will take her. She is sooooo tiny and said that I can post only the tummy shot of her, not her face!!!! haha!

Today, I will leave work at 3:30 get home, get Kennedys gymnastics stuff and rush her off to it. I will take Bandit with me so we can stop at the dog park..he will be thrilled. At least we will be home by 7pm to throw laundry in and get the kids bathed and showered...

Tomorrow, is tutor and Fabe is volunteering for soccer. Kennedy and I will go to the open house...another late night. Ugh.

Friday, still is Hannah Montanna movie...sigh.

Then, Saturday is clothing club. But not very many people are able to make it. And I'm not going to buy 100.00 of food and only a few people come. I understand if people can't make it...heck I didn't go to all of them either..but I just need to be told...otherwise those who do/can come we might-as-well go to a movie or something fun rather then 3 of us sitting at my house...plus I don't want to 'get rid' of my kids if no one is coming...so I will see by Friday...either way...I don't care.

Next week, my sister will be down and then my 2 weeks of maddness starts....ughhhh!!!!

Well anyhow..I should go...so much to do.

Tara

omg!

Random thought but what will one ever do if she/he goes to blog one day and their WHOLE blog is gone????? What if blogspot just stops running one day?...

My sister!

Today my sister, has offically completed her Masters in Education...she has done this while parenting her 4 and 2 year old boys....she has given up her weekends to do this course...its been hard on them. But she is done today...she was/is partying it up for the celebration.

I think its great that she has accomplished this....way to go!

Monday!

Hello all :o)

Today was a great day at work! I will be posting pics on the parent area that I have set up...well I have almost completed. But its looking really, really good. Costco has a really nice shelf there, its beeeeeautiful. It has pastel colored wooded bins to sort stuff, but its birch wood (really durable) so I bought that...I am just looking for a bench thingy for the parents to sit and relax on...this involved fishing the phone lines through ceiling tiles and taking down shelves and hooks and lots of stuff! But its been worth it :o) Tomorrow I am going to Dollarama for poster board and then Scholars Choice for some bulltion board set with a 'family' feel to it. For accreditation we have to have a parent area...and with the help of another staff...we have it ALMOST done...I will be taking pics forsure to share!

So from work, I went to the hairdressers. I got my hair foiled...desperately needed. Then I bought a 30.00 product into my hair...and she told me to come monthly for trims. I didn't know that..I thought every 3 months was good enough! Opps! Anyhow, I gave her a really good tip and she didn't even thank me...not for the tip but for NOTHING! When she was rinsing my hair she used FREEZING cold water...brr! But she did do a good job...but I need to STOP wearing ponytails, apparently my hair is breaking off (yikes!)

Then, I came home. Mack had the neighbor boy over for supper. So I walked in just in time to eat. Fabe had burgers, rice and veggies for supper. Everything was super good.

Now, I just tided the kitchen. Gonna do some laundry and relax...

My week is very very busy....

Tuesday-Ultrasound with Amanda in the afternoon then in the evening, off to a junior high for Mack's school (omg...junior high!!!)

Wednesday-Kennedy's gymnastics

Thursday- Tutor and soccer volunteering.

Friday- Hannah Montanna 3-d movie with Kennedy

Saturday- Clothing Club party at my house.

Sunday- NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, my sister and everyone will be done next Wednesday night...for a week. until the following Sunday..then they leave and Rikki and my friends son, Darius come over for the week...crazzzzy next few weeks. Anyone who knows me, knows that I like short visits. I like when people come over for a day or two...but then please leave. I am a homebody. I like my space. I like my relaxing 'down' time...so this literally stresses me out..

BUT,,,

I'm off for the summer so who friggin cares !!!!!!!

Update on my throat...

So we went to see the movie, "college road trip" and then we grabbed the kids Taco Bell. I decided to go to the medicentre to sign in and then come back...that was at 6:30pm! So they told me 1.5 hours. So I came home, then went to Sobeys for lunch food....then went to the medicentre for just before 8pm. I waited there until flippin 9:45 then they finally called my name....waited in the exam room for another 20 mins, then the dr came in...he was very nice and considering it was only ONE doctor and DOZENS of people, we wasn't rushed at all. But I knew that I had to go, because this week is horribly busy and I have something every single night until Sunday (I HATE these weeks!) so anyhow, he said 'yes you have a horrible, ugly infection..its really quite bad and you should have come in a lot sooner' but I told him it only started on Saturday....he came me some Keflex and sent me on my way. I went to Shoppers got it, then bought some more tylenol which has been my saviour! Anyhow...its sooo bad now that I can't move my right side of my neck very much, its very swollen. It happened so fast!

After the movie, out in the car I looked in my mirror and saw white chunky stuff on my right tonsil, so I thought that I better go...

ANyhow update later!

Sunday!

I feel a lot better today. My throat got soooo bad last night...ugh. I finally took a tylenol, gravol and antibiotics and went to bed at 9pm. I slept right through the night...thankfully. I have to take the tylenol every 4 hours forsure otherwise it really, really starts to hurt.

Today we cleaned the house...laundry needs to be done but aleast its mostly clean...feels much better.

We are all showering and getting ready for the movie, at 4pm. We are going to see "College Road Trip" it looks pretty funny! So the 4 of us are going, we haven't done that for so long...so it should be nice...

Work tomorrow...but thats okay...I have the middle of June to look forward too and I am not going to complain anymore :o)

Tuesday I am only working until noon, as Amanda has her ultrasound at 1pm that I am going to with her...hopefully she will find out what the sex is :o) As well, they want to see why the baby is soooo tiny...she's now 31 weeks..wow. And she has gained 6 pounds and measures 25 weeks...so a little behind...but still....she is SO super tiny...I will try to sneak a pics and post it of her tummy!!!!!Her story is kinda sad, her life story. But she has lots to prove to child welfare about her parenting, and I am hoping that we can work on that together...if she doesn't, then the consequences might not be good for her. Anyhow, this is a story that I will be following up with...and for the record she is aware and a reader of my blog, and she is over 18 years old...in case those of you who may be concerned...

So, we better go get ready....

Done Memory Keeper Book

Literally last night until bed, I read. ALL day today I stayed on the couch...and read. I really liked the book, its a story that will stay with me for a long time...so tragic and sad. I can't imagine...but yeah it was pretty depressing...

My throat is still killing me, even more so now in the evening...ugh. I hope that I don't get really sick..I just want to scream..I have so much to do yet I can't do anything...

Saturday so far....

Today I woke up with a horrible sore throat...ugh. Usually I get them when I am tired but for me to have it during the day, its not a good sign of things to come. My mom finally took her car into the car place, with the help of Fabe...today so she is hanging at our house for the day so that Fabe can take her back to her car when it is done. She got bored with me laying on the couch with my new book "The memory keepers daughter" which I am already half way through...and Jane it is depressing...I'm only at the children's ages are 13 years old and their trip to Aruba (naughty!)

Fabe tried to empower me to get off the couch. I had the heat on, fireplace going down here...he came in and said "ugh, its so hot in here!"so I turned down the heat and got up, had some milk and a Roca (bad, bad!) the kids want to walk to the store so I will find some cash (kinda hard, as my mom has my car and my purse is in there!) but I'm sure we will find some in the money jar. I should go chip ice on the driveway...get some fresh air. Fabe things that it will do me wonders...

We aren't sure about Florida for Christmas anymore now. Mom and I were talking today and we looked online at the plane tickets, and WOW they are expensive then..so we're thinking maybe taking them to either Cuba or Vegas for a week...I really want the kids to see Vegas. So we'll see. Vegas is the cheaper of them...all 4 of us can go for 1958.00 for 7 nights, air and hotel. Pretty cheap. We spend more on that for Christmas...so we'll see. Only santa will bring them a stocking and gift at whereever we are....

I have CMT on and I have been watching depressing music videos all day, while reading. I'm using the living room which I never use. Fabe brought the laptop down here for me, and I have my favorite blanket and my books...so its all good. I turned the fireplace off a while ago...so the house will cool down a bit.

Its suppose to be beautiful outside today....so I will go check it out and see for myself. One of Fabe's friends came and picked him up to see his new car...Fabe has been out all day thus far (garage)...we had high hopes of painting this weekend...but since I don't feel so well today its not an option to paint...hopefully I don't get sick-sick like I was only a few weeks ago...that the thing with working in child care...catch everything and anything...ugh.

Well, I better rise from the couch...

Frrrrriday!!!!

Yeah ;o)

I had an EXCELLENT day today! Because guess what???????

I am taking 1/2 of June (to prepare for summer) and july and August off work!!!!!!!!

I'm soooooo happy!!!!

Today I talked to my boss and she agreed, as long as I PROMISE to come back in Sept. So I've been dreaming about this all day now. I will go in for about 3 hours a week just to assist with the maintaining of everything..And thats all..of course I told her if she is ever really stuck I will come in too, but she said for me to work hard on getting what needs to be done...done and it will be no issue! Yeah!

So of course, thats a huge relief for me as I was starting to worry about filling the kids up with daycamps, etc even though they don't want too. She told me I can do this every summer if I want...all the more reasons to STAY put!

Anyhow, I got home and 2 of the neighbors were out there talking to I chatted with them too for a while. The Fabe came home...he joined us. Now him and the neighbor, James are going to take out their quads for a ride. The kids are enjoying nachos and salsa...we are all in underear and tshirts as the bottoms of our pants are all wet from the slushy stuff.

Well anyhow....better run along...

New Books!

Today I went to Costco..for work of course ;o)

And I bought 2 new books for myself. Now, really I shouldn't be buying more books as I have my novel and tons and tons of reading for my course to do....but these books sounded so good.

The first one is "A New Earth" Its the Oprah book club one..its suppose to totally empower you..change you life. They said that about "eat pray love" and I didn''t 'get it'...whoever said it was like a pity party book about her life and break up...said it so correctly!

The other one, is a novel. Its called "the memory keeper's daughter" It says its about a doctor who, because of a blizzard is forced to deliver his own twins. The boy is healthy, but the daughter has down syndrome...but he tells the nurse to take it into town to an institution. Instead she disappears into another city to rasie the child as her own...it says its deeply moving. The authos is Kim Edwards....I'm not sure what one to start with...I'm excited!

Love early days!

I love Thursdays, because the kids are off school early and I 'need' to be home in time for when they get home. I love it :o) I leave work at 2:30pm and I am home by 3:00pm with the kids. THey get done their homework early and we just have more time together. I have supper almost ready. Macks tutor will be here at 6 for an hour. I still have to walk the dog. I will just be doing some laudry and tidying up.

Update later!

Thursday! Sweet!

I'm so happy that the week is ALMOST over..it has felt like a really, really long week. With my sister down last weekend then being super busy this week..its just been crazy! The last 2 nights I have gotten home at 8:30-9:00pm! Crazzzzzy! I've been pooped out.

Wasn't this the week that I said, yeah I can leave early from work???? Yeah...right.

But yesturday I was off at 3:30pm but then I had crap to do..get receipts for the kids for the sports tax credit..Kennedy's gymnastics, dance and Macks soccer. Kennedy is done gymnastics on the 19th..yeah! I love when stuff ends. Thats gives me about 2-4 weeks (depending on how fast the snow melts!) before soccer starts. Kennedy will be playing outdoor soccer along with Mack this spring. Thankfully nothing in the summer.

I have been booking stuff for the summer. So far I have booked Wilderness Village...we had a membership there when I was younger and its a total family campground with pools, horse back riding, parks, etc...its beautiful there. In fact, we spent Christmas there one year! Its year round camping..pretty cool. Plus they have cabins there to rent for pretty cheap. Its about 2 hours from Edmonton by Rocky Mountain House...

Also, I booked Ole MacDonalds resort...never been there but have heard about it...

ANyhow, gotta cover lunch breaks....

Monday.

Work is pretty good. But kinda slow. I'm actually kinda bored...ho-hum.

I will have to stay a bit later then what I wanted too..but oh well. After tomorrow I can't. The option isn't even there are Fabe will be working.

Fabe wants to go to the lake on Saturday to check it out...and see how it is going...so we'll see. Might be something neat doing...I would like to see what it looks like in the winter. This year we are planning for our neighbors to bring their trailers out for a weekend...I think it would be super cool!

Vegas!

I really, really wanna book a trip to Vegas. I love everything about Vegas...LOVE it!!!

www.vegas.com has the best prices.

We can go for 4 nights, at a good hotel for 1297.00 including taxes, air and hotel.

I really wanna go...

Tara

Sunday.

So the weekend is behind us now.

Today, my sister set out about 10:30 am. She picked up her nanny from her friends house and off they went.

Today, I re-cleaned the house again..did the floors AGAIN!!! lol. But it is all clean now. I just have a few loads of laundry to put away. I finally had time to fold some socks and underwear and put that all away. Its almost 6pm and Kennedy has already had her bath...and for the first time in a long time...I'm actually bored. Weird. I was thinking about going down to sew some baby wash clothes for Amanda...she is due in May. She is 29 weeks and wears her jeans still...size 1 jeans...she is sooo tiny. She has a tiny little belly. I'm going with her on March 11th for her ultrasound...hopefully she can find out what she is having so she can start to prepare for it. She hasn't been doing much to get ready...as she said that she wants to wait on the sex of the baby...she has a few things..but thats about it..hopefully she can pull it together and get it all ready...

I've already cleaned the basement from them. I am not going to wash the bedding, because they will be back in 3 weeks anyhow for a week. So I am going to leave the playpen set up and the spare room as is...because no one else should be coming to stay and if they do...I have clean bedding in the closet.

I'm trying to get on line to WebCT to check my first assignment mark but I can't get on it...how annoying...I better get reading that book too...ugh. Just when you think that you have some time to do hobby things, something else always comes up. But my big assignment is due March 20th so I better get a move on it...

Well, I better go...

Braeden and Matthew.

Mr. Braeden...
Baby Maffy.. (Matthew)

My nephews are so cute. It was really nice having them here. They are so funny! Braeden is almost 5 years old (in April). He is in a preschool program and will begin kindergarten in Sept. Crazy. He is so smart and advanced for his age. He loves letters and anything to do with school. As well, he is such a nice boy. Last night at McD's there were some children who were playing and told him 'be the bad guy' and he stopped and said "lets just be good guys, lets not let there be any bad guys"...as well he is an awesome older brother. Matthew is 2.5 and he is demanding. You can tell very much so, that he is the 'baby' of the family...he still sleeps in a crib and he's just their baby. But his speech is utterly unreal. He knows all of the colors, and you can carry on a full converstaion with him. He asks you questions... "is this pretend fruit or real fruit?" things like that...he is SO smart...the way that he walks is so cute. He is a very cute little boy in action. But when he wants something, he wants is NOW!!!!! He sleeps in a playpen at my house, and he crawled out of it the other day...for his nap and said that he wants to sleep on the bed. I told my sister, maybe he is ready for a bed and she said 'nope, not until summer'...lol. She said she isn't ready for that...lol. Oh my!
Anyhow, it was a great visit with them

Tanners here

No sick dog this time...thank God..Bandit was super happy to see him...they LOVE each other.

Can you tell that my sister is here????

Yup, THIS my friends is how she leaves her stuff at my house...all over the front entrance, usually Fabe gets annoyed then takes it downstairs him self..but yeah..this is what it looks like EVERY time.

And for the record, I could NEVER get a-way with this at her house...

Diet Pepsi...

Ahhhh, just feels so so good going down. Knowing its zero calories and just so yummy...South Beaching is going well still BUT today I ate pretty crappy...but tomorrow I will be back on board...I mean I didn't pig out or anything but I didnt' exactly follow it to a 'tee'...

My Valentines Day card to Fabe...

;o) Feels so so good to beable to finally call him my 'husband'...the word just has so much meaning to me now!

My new toy!

Have I said it lately, how MUCH I loooooove my label maker????

:o)

can you see what it says on the screen???

My beautiful pantry!

With the assistance of my label maker...my pantry is now labelled. I love labels ;o)

Anyhow, just wanted to share...it sure makes unloading groceries much easier...plus my children now know where everything belongs...

Saturday continued..

So today we went to Costco and then McD's. At Costco I only saw a few things that I wanted..lol. Did you see the plastic shed? Its soooo pretty and would make an AWESOME quad shed as it has a double door. But also, it would make a perfect playhouse for children...its a must have (of course, for a house on an acreage or a big backyard!). But its only 1000.00 and it looks very very fancy!

Anyhow, bought a few things there...only spent 70.00. Pretty good.

Then we went to the McD's by our house as they playland is pretty good sized. So we hung out there for a while...the kids played and we ate. I had a salad with grilled chicken. Yummy. Then Fabe called and said that our mom was waiting for us at our house...so we headed home. My sister quickly bathed her boys and we ate some fruit (well they did!) and visited with grandma. The boys were SO tired from the long day, so they both asked to go to bed. So my mom left shortly after.

Oh yeah, Mack is home. The friend, Nick that he slept at his house for 2 nights is at our house tonight...but they had to wake up at 4:30am as Nick had a hockey practice at 6...and they went to bed at 1am!!!! omg!!!! So needless to say, Mack was tired. I came up here and sure enough...he is crashed on his bed...sleeping. So, I made him wake up and change into shorts and a tshirt and take off his glasses. I feel bad for Nick but Mack is really tired so whatever. I just gave Nick some chips and juice boxes and told him to ask me for whatever he needs. He said he is going to go to bed soon too...still not much fun for him...thankfully he is around enough to be comfortable with us.

Fabe and my sister are downstair talking in the living room. Kennedy is in her room. I'm ready for bed...or watching tv in bed or something. My sister is leaving tomorrow at about 10-11 am...so I will have to be up for that...

Thankfully my week won't be crazy...thats what I keep telling myself...

Anyhow...

Tara

Weekend!

Hello weekend :o)

Friday, I worked late until about 5:00. Got home, walked the dogs. Met my mom at Chuckie E Cheese's for a few hours. Mack was staying at his friends house again (2nd night) so it was just Kennedy, Rikki and the boys (my nephews). SO we did that until about 9:00pm. I can't believe that people were still ARRIVING at 9pm ! I was shocked..but it was completely dead by then, so really they are smart! I hate going there on the weekends.

Last night my mom had the boys at her house. My sister slept at her friends house. Nanny was at her friends house...so it was Rikki, Kennedy, the dogs, me and Fabe. Tanner tried to wake me early this morning...needless to say I wasn't impressed and won't be keeping my door open for him anymore...ugh.

Today, I needed to wash the floors. With Tanner, 2 little boys...my house was feeling rather messy! So today I cleaned and did bathrooms, floors, etc...tomorrow I won't have so much to do...but its actually not that bad. Today the windows are open...feels so much more fresh in here already!

My sister is here now. The little one is laying down for a nap...Kennedy and Rikki just got back from walking to the Esso (Tim Hortons) up the street. They went and 'did' lunch together...alone. Pretty cool. THey were gone for 2 hours!

My sister is in the shower...not sure where she is going...

I plan to just relax a bit today...thankfully this week at work will be much better and not long days. This last week has been filled with late days (5pm!) and I am not use to that!!! So thankfully I will be off at 3:30 everyday again...phew!

We need to pick a new color for the house or keep this color and do some feature walls..the house is now 4 years old this month! And, it needs some new paint....the walls are dinged up and just looking not good. So I would like to mud it and even take time painting it, and do a little at a time...its just getting pretty bad. Ideally it would be nice to be done by the summer so we can work on outside stuff like painting the trim around the garage, shed and staining the deck and fence...

The kids are going to be in spring break camp. I will have 4 children for that week...crazy! Rikki will be going with my chidlren and rather then my mom drive from downtown everyday I said that I can drop her off and pick her up...then my friends son (from Leduc) is going to come and again...its just easier for me to drop off and pick up...so I will have him...then my children...wow...busy...then my sister will be dropping off the kids, nanny and dog again...as she is going on a trip. It will be a busy few weeks...lovely...

Anyhow, have a great Saturday...

Tara
