Montannas...

nice knife, Mack!

Kennedy and I once had a lunch date together at Montannas in the summer. She always had wanted to go there after seeing the tv commerical with the talkig moose and deer. So we went and it was nothing like she expected...more boring. Anyhow, one opened up in our area recently so we went for supper, just the 4 of us. It had been a long time since we all went together. Summer was busy but each child was doing this or that. It was long overdue for us to go together. The waitress gave Kennedy some crayons and as she colored, Mack wanted to too (see, he is still a child!!!!) and then we all were coloring and decorating the paper. We played hangman too! It was such a simple yet fun night out...not cheap though! Wow, 100.00 for just the 4 of us...plus the tip. Ouch! But considering how little we all go out together, it was well worth it :o)

Notice me TRYING hard to get Mack??? I tricked him, Fabe was sitting across from him and I said "Fabe look at this photo" and held it up as if fabe was looking a picture on my camera and haha- I snapped it :o)))

quadding fun!

A big reason for us getting this new campsite (besides the fact Half Moon is ran realllllly crappy) you are able to quad at this campground. You are allowed to go from your site to the trails but not around the campground. The trails are actually really good, even I went for a little cruise. The kids will love it there next year with being able to get good use of their quads. It seems like you find a nice campground, but cannot quad. Or you find a quadding place but no campground. So this is perfect. Actually it has a realllly nice lake for boating. The down side is no beach...HOWEVER there is a swimming pool (heated too). The kids are at the age where they 'see' what the lakes here look like and they aren't inteterested in 'swimming' in them anyhow. They will get good use of a pool on the hot summers days. Macks happy too-they have teen time for the pool. I think next summer will be awesome out there...I'm hoping to spend ALOT of time there next year :o))) hoping.

Camping fun!

Some shots of our last weekend's camping trip! As I mentioned earlier we only had Mack...who (as you can see) I cannot get a shot of anymore (I guess its true-he is growing up!)...Bandit and my friend Lisa's little dog, Lily. Lily is sooooooo tiny, but so cute (you can see) she has had massive medical issues from when she was bought from Lisa from the breeder...still has some. But now she is a year old and full grown...sooo tiny. She is Bichon Maltize and abnormally small..but super cute!!!!! She's afraid of big bad Bandit..lol!

At work.

Well today is a super smooth day. I even got to run to Goodwill to grab some stuff. I will photo them later.

This weekend was good. We headed to the lake lot on Friday late afternoon. Unloaded and unpacked a little bit in the trailer. It was great as my friends Lisa and Janice (both have lots there too) were there. So we had a nice fire in the evening and I went to bed pretty early. I was tired! I slept in a bit on Saturday...we only had Mack with us as Kennedy was at her grandparents for Friday night as she had to be at a party for noon on Saturday for a birthday party...sleepover. Mack wasn't happy at first to be coming, he would rather stay at friends houses..but then he was fine with being there. It helped that Fabe loaded up the quads and they were able to head out Saturday for a few hours quadding. Plus Lisa's son Taylor is 14 so they are about a year apart so they had each other to hang out with. During the day on Saturday I kinda cleaned and organized the trailer. I love the trailer SO much. I could live in it..honestly! So I did a bit of that, but it reallllly needs a good organization and I need to get rid of the stuff that we don't need in there. I hope next summer we will have LOTS of time out there...hopefully the centre is running smoothly then and I can be out there ALL summer :o) Thats the plan...

Saturday we left about 5pm as I had a stamp/scrapbooking club to go too. We would have stayed out but I missed last month so I didn't want to miss again. It was a gong show getting there though, this is why;

So, I go to grab my adhesive from my scrapbooking room...nope, none. Okay so no big deal, I will stop at Walmart in Sherwood Park and get some, while there grab something for the potluck of snacky things that I need to bring...get to Sherwood Park, 2 boxes of the adhesive that I HATE..but oh well at least its something. Realizing that there is no bakery, I grab some nachos, JAR of cheese and some salsa. Off I go. Plugged in the address to my GPS, all set. Then, I start driving and recall I should have $40.00 in my wallet since I did cash back at the SELF serve tills...remembering the machine said "don't forget your change!" and I was thinking "dumb machine, I paid with debit!" and walked out. So I am trying to drive AND reach back to the bags behind my seat with the pop, jars of salsa and cheese..the bag is ripping it all falls all over the floor. Its okay, I see the receipt in the bag. No number. I call '411' get it. Call there, yes they have it. A good honest person handed it in, awesome! They close at 11pm and my club is over at 10pm perfect. Well the wind is BLOWING my car all around by now, the winds are howling. I get to Tess's house...open the side of the van door to collect the jars that fell all over in my car...well I see a white paper fly out..shoot! Its the Walmart receipt that shows my cash advance at that till, the ONLY way to prove its my 40-bucks...so I go chasing after it, winds keeps blowing. My gosh, I finally caught it...I glanced at Tess's house in fear that I was spotted (maybe LAUGHED at!!) running after a piece of white paper...but it was worth it.

Tonight we have to get through some boxes as we have days until our claim for contents close..so we have to ensure we have everything all recorded. But we have boxes and boxes of stuff to sort from Service Master..ughhhh, I cannot WAIT until this is ALL done...

Other then that, todays a good day :o) Hopefully tomorrow will be too!!!

Around the house today...

A VERY quiet Bandit :o)))))
Yummy smell of the cookies from the vintage cookbook!
The afternoon sun shining in upstairs
a clean scrapbooking room :o)))

A Year of Wishes...

After the fire, my mom bought me this vase. Its filled with 'wishes' for a daughter for the year. It really was perfect for me at the time..I did use to do them. But I haven't lately. She always is asking me "Do you take a wish out everyday?" and really I don't. But today I decided too and this is what it said. Its a actually a really neat idea, not cheap though. But I think it would be a great gift made for a specific person about themself...how personal that would be!!!!

Thursday

My newest platter. Okay, old school I know. But I'm realllly loving old things like these. When I saw THIS platter for 0.99 I had to get it from Goodwill. I love it!!!!!
Since we are going camping tomorrow for one night, I thought that I would prepare the meat at home and the potatoes are all sliced up and ready to be thrown on the BBQ at the lake tomorrow. Easy supper :o)
Yummy!!!

Cleaning them...

The pork tenderlion...so simple but SO tasty!!!! I cooked it tongiht so we don't have to worry about it on the BBQ tomorrow night. These are on sale at Sobeys this week (well ours at least!) for like 3-4.00! So cheap!!!! They are super yummy! This one is rubbed with a tiny bit of oil, rosemary leaves are sprinkled and rubbed into it and then some seasoning salt and black pepper. Pop it into the over at 350 for 1.5 hours...perfect!

So today I was off. And I was super bored. I actually didn't know what to do, I was *that* bored...I wasn't in the mood for scrapbooking or anything like that. So I watched Rachel Ray show, Dr. Phil, Oprah..if you know me you will know that I'm not a big tv watcher. At all. In fact, I really don't like TV. What I do like is Desperate Housewives, I know..but I have watched it for so many years. But really thats all I watch. I could totally do without tv/cable. Even the kids don't really watch tv. Kennedy does more then Mack but still she would rather be playing outside than inside watching tv. So I did that, cleaned a little (mind you it wasn't busy anyhow as I cleaned yesturday too!) then washed Kennedys bedding. Supper was spaghetti which I made yesturday and we didn't eat as Fabe order in chineese food the night before (I went with friends to Montannas for supper!). So today I made the supper for tomorrow night. I was super bored. I'm starting to enjoy cooking more again. I use to like it but I was missing my stuff and my old kitchen.

The kids got home from school, well Kennedy only. Mack called for permission to go to his friends house for a while. I didn't want him to be too late, given the circumstance from the other night. But he got home safe and sound. We watched a movie together, a really weird movie. "Hush Little Baby". Then I decided to bake some peanut butter cookies for lunches and for the lake tomorrow night. So I did that...now we are relaxing in bed. The kids are reading and everyone will soon be in sleepy land...

A few random shots...more to follow...

My little while table I found at Goodwill, I wasn't sure about buying it but then I went for it as it just seemed so perfect for a bathroom! Kinda spa-ish you know? I think it looks awesome!!!!

Then my table, I like to change it according to the season..its kinda fun! I added in some fall/pumpkin stuff...I love this table greeting me everyday!!!

Random things...around the house...

Moxie Girl dolls-Kennedys newest thing...

Poor Bandit...with his collar...feeling sorry for himself...

Fall flowers....

Cookie sheets and wire cooling racks...and of course a pumpkin cookie cutter...

Starting to think about Christmas baking...

So I had to cave in and get Bandit a barking collar. I know, cruel you might say. But I HAD to do this. He has been soooo barky to the point its very annoying and disruptive. The final straw was on the weekend at the trailer, I put him in there and he barked for 1-5 minutes straight because he didn't want to be in there. Horrible...I could have killed him. But I REFUSE to be a prisioner to my dog anymore. We can't do this, do that, bring him, etc..because he barks. My mom has to stay here with him rather then her place as he barks too much. Its too much. So finally I did it. Bought him one and hollllllly crap! Why did I not do this sooner? SERIOUSLY we are on night 2 of it...and he has barked maybe 5 times...we leave it on until about 8:30pm and put it on about 3:30pm So he has it on for about 5 hours. Never when alone...and he is catching on..he seems fine when it goes on but he will bark though it when the doorbell goes or whatever so it must not 'hurt' him...he hasn't yelped or anything (or else it would soooo be off!). But we were desperate so we had to try it....I hope it works...it won't be a all day thing but just something when we are home and forsure for the trailer...NO one likes a yappy dog!

New Lake Lot..

So we switched from our nice close lake lot we rented this past summer to a far away lake lot. BUT, its sooooo much nicer there! I know we are going to love it. There are now 5 for us families/friends who are going to be out there. There are 10 adults and 14 kids between the 5 families! Its going to be a BLAST! I can't wait now for next summer. We moved the trailer and shed out there last weekend and stayed out there alone...my mom stayed at our house with the kids and dog...Friday night. The Saturday we HAD to come back and get the lawnmower as the grass was super long...then we brought Bandit back with us. It was a nice weekend, him and I. We basically set up and still worked setting the stuff up. We are staying out forsure Friday night but more then likely not Saturday...its good out there...They have a pool for the kids and a kids committee for activities and what not. It will be good..but the BEST thing for the kids and Fabe is that there is a quadding. LOTS of trails...this is like the ONLY campground that I have seen where you can park your quad and actually ride it out to the trails. Fabe is extremely looking forward to this....obvously being he never gets to ride it anywhere...

Baking fun!

Kennedy and her friend wanted to bake something...so they picked chocolate chip cookies...they were so happy to do it all alone...I just watched...

But guess who was stuck with cleaning it up? Yup, you guessed right....moi :o)

house update!

So the plumbing is all approved now we are just waiting on the electrical to start then they can start the real fun work, the inside finishing stuff. As well, its all shingled now too. So thats pretty good! We walk through the house and can picture it...it feels so lovely in there...and its just wood! But being back there will be so nice. As I write this, I just watched the news 1 hour ago about a teen who was swarmed and attached (stabbed and sprayed with bear spray!) was at Macks bus stop!!!! He was at his friends hockey and due to take the bus home (this happened at 7pm!) and thankfully the parents drove him home...this is the bus stop he takes every single morning!!! How freaky!!!!I don' t like being near a bus route at all...at my old-new house we weren't by the main road at all...I miss that. The busses go by every 15 mins its crraaaazy!!! Can't wait to live in a normal neighborhood...I'm thankful for this house as it has been so nice and we have made it home and actually it will be a huge switch for us to be back over there and adjust to that house....so much change...but that will be the end of it for us after that...I cant wait to be back to normal...I miss that....
Down went the neighbors house....

Randoms...

Kennedy and her friend at the water park in Beaumont...

But Bandit...oh Bandit. He was just thrilled with himself when he found a grasshopper in the grass at the lake. He mauled the poor thing so much it was so slow by the time it was done...I don' think he killed it the whole way just really, really tortured it. Poor thing. But I'm sorry-I couldn't not, COULD NOT step on it to completely help it...I couldn't handle hearing it ****crunch**** ewwwww!!!! Poor little guy...but Bandit..he was really quite happy with himself...after that he kept trying to find other ones in the grass...

So funny!

So funny! My cousin Kim was trying to take a good picture of her...so she took this one and at the SAME time the wind came along..and her hair totally blew around...so

We took one together...and it was okay...Fabe was trying to get himself in it too..

Then she said "you do it, your hair will fly all around-lol" but it turned out pretty good...haha, I hate photos of me..so it was amazing for me to say it was good...lol.

Why stop when you are on a role? It was going good...

Guess I was loving the camera that night! LOL!!!!

Too funny! I did get these photos developed even in a 5x7 for my childrens scrapbooks so that was good they turned out half decent..lol!
